Iowa City curfew for kids

Majority supports curfew.
The majority of council members were in favor of further discussing a law that would have children 13 and younger home by 10 p.m., 14- and 15-year-olds by 11 p.m. and 16- and 17-year-olds by midnight.

"Voluntary compliance is the first step," [Officer] Hargadine said. "It's when that doesn't work is when you see enforcement."

Remember this deputy, charged $55 for simple assault. They want to fine kids $50 for staying out too late.

Sounds fair enough to me.
